Implications of Revelation

God makes His very self known by revelation. Therefore, our acceptance of revelation is acceptance of God Himself. This acceptance of God is known faith.
Because of our faith we commit our whole self to God.

Faith is a free act. It is not forced upon us. It is an act of free and willing union with God Who has revealed Himself.

To bring joy and ease to the act of faith, the Holy Spirit comes to us. The gifts of the Holy Spirit bring the person of faith to a deeper understanding of revelation. This deeper understanding takes place in the individual and in the community. It forms part of the tradition through which revelation is handed on.

We respond to God's revelation by offering to Him full submission of our intellect and will.
