Man's Call To Salvation

God made Himself known to us through Creation and through His chosen representatives to whom He revealed His special plan for our salvation. This revelation reached its climax when made Himself known in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Sometimes God reveals Himself in a special way to particular person.These are called private revelations. Examples of these are the revelations made to St. Bernadette of Lourdes and to St. Margaret Mary at Paray-le-Monial. Although such private revelations do happen, the church is slow in accepting them as truth. They still need to be tested and evidence must be shown. When these have been approved by the church, we know, then, that there is in them, nothing contrary to faith and morals.
